Connections, Collaboration and New Ideas at PACK EXPO 2026

Pack Expo - Chicago, IL 2026 - Beckhoff Automation - Midwest Wire Group

Midwest Wire Group’s Anthony Beach, Business Development Manager, and Logan Marsh, Account Manager, recently attended PACK EXPO in Chicago. The show offered an opportunity to explore emerging technologies, reconnect with customers and industry partners, and gather ideas for projects underway at MWG.

From conversations with our partners at Beckhoff Automation to time spent sharing perspectives across departments, the experience reinforced how strong relationships help move our business forward.

Connecting With Our Partners at Beckhoff Automation

One of the highlights of the trip was spending time with the team at Beckhoff Automation, an existing technology partner in several of our development projects.

The Beckhoff team is wonderful to work with. We value their knowledge, collaborative approach, and ongoing support as we develop ideas and work through technical challenges. Having the opportunity to connect in person allowed us to build on that relationship and discuss technologies that could support future projects.

Conversations included data analytics, emerging automation technologies, and new products on the horizon. One topic of particular interest was TwinCAT CoAgent, an AI-powered assistant designed to support engineering and automation. Learning about tools like these helps our team consider new ways to approach development and manufacturing.

We appreciate the time the Beckhoff team spent with us and the expertise they continue to bring to our partnership.

Exploring Technology and Reconnecting With Industry Partners

Throughout the show, Anthony and Logan visited vendors offering technologies relevant to our future manufacturing capabilities. These conversations provided opportunities to ask questions, explore possibilities, and gather insights for ongoing development work.

They also enjoyed reconnecting with customers and familiar faces in the recycling industry who were exhibiting at the show. Events like PACK EXPO create valuable opportunities to spend time with the people behind the businesses we work with, learn more about their needs, and maintain those relationships.

Building Understanding Across Departments

Some of the most valuable conversations happened between our own team members.

Attending a trade show together creates time for discussions and shared experiences that may not happen during a typical workday. Exploring technology side by side helps connect customer needs, product development, and manufacturing considerations.

For Sales, it offers a closer look at the technical decisions and challenges involved in bringing products and ideas to life. From an engineering perspective, it provides valuable exposure to customer relationships, market needs, and the sales process.

That shared understanding helps strengthen communication and encourages greater appreciation for the contributions each department makes. It also creates a stronger foundation for collaboration when the team returns to everyday projects.

Bringing Ideas Back to Midwest Wire Group

Anthony and Logan returned from PACK EXPO with fresh ideas, valuable insights, and stronger connections.

We look forward to building on those conversations as we continue investing in our people, products, and manufacturing capabilities. Thank you to our partners at Beckhoff Automation, our customers, and everyone who took the time to connect with us in Chicago.
